Historical Background

This Journal is a product of several years of relentless efforts of the founding fathers of the School of Environmental Studies, The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, to entrench the culture of academic excellence in the school, particularly in the area of research undertakings. True to the vision of its pioneers, the journal has since its inception in 2010, provided an excellent avenue for research reports’ publications. It is significant to note that, contributions into the previous editions of the journal have come from far and wide and they cut across diverse areas of interest in the built environment.

The Main Rationale

The main driving force that sets to continually push forward the objective[s] of this Journal, was evolved essentially to provide a platform for the dissemination of findings from groundbreaking research, through the publication of high-quality papers on phenomena, issues, challenges, among other things that revolve around built environment and beyond. Though there appear to be all sorts of research windows that are fraught with irregularities, that dwarf the pristine nature against which research ethics should be measured, thence, it is partly in full realisation of such situation, that there arises the need to generate data-driven research findings that are of the highest attainable correctness, which this journal sets out to achieve and proudly sustain. We at the editorial board are confident that unfolding turbulence associated with human-environment interactions, together with the unending challenges therewith, shall be consistently focused on, with a view to providing robust approaches in solving them, through researches to be orchestrated via well-researched papers that shall form contents of this top journal.
